The St. Cloud Norsemen capped off their Showcase with a 5-1 victory on Saturday over the Springfield Jr Blues. William Esterbrooks got the Norsemen going with a power play goal in the first period with assists from Bronson Hunt and Cole Bies. St. Cloud poured it on in the second with four goals including two more on the power play from Danny Hussa and Sam Crane. Alex Sandu and Wyatt Farrell scored even strength goals for a 5-0 Norsemen lead after two. Beck Liden made 18 of 19 saves for the victory in net. Bronson Hunt picked up 3 assists and led the Norsemen with 5 points at the Showcase. Sam Crane scored a goal in all three games and Gabriel Bugeaud along with Alex Sandhu had a point in all three games. St. Cloud finished the showcase with 1-1-1 record. The Norsemen are 3-1-1 to start the season and will travel to Aberdeen this coming weekend. Puck drop is 7:15 Friday and Saturday night.
