ST. CLOUD GOALIE BOLO NAMED NAHL STAR OF THE WEEK

Dec 13, 2021

St. Cloud Norsemen goaltender Tomas Bolo has been named the North American Hockey League Central Division Star of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 12, 2021

Bolo helped St. Cloud to a weekend home-and-home sweep of the Minnesota Wilderness. The 6’2/188 lbs. native of Zilina, Slovakia, allowed just a single goal in the two wins as the Norsemen extended their winning streak to four straight games.

On Friday, Bolo made 19 saves in a 5-1 road win and then on Saturday, he posted his second shutout of the season, making 23 saves in a 5-0 win. For the season, Bolo has a 9-3-0 record in 12 appearances with a 2.29 goals against average and .904 save percentage.

“I feel Tomas has been getting more comfortable every week and it has translated in his results.  He has been a big contributor to our recent success,” said Norsemen head coach Corey Millen.

Bolo is on Team Slovakia’s preliminary roster for the upcoming IIHF World Junior Ice Hockey Tournament.

Norsemen forward and University of St. Thomas commit Ryan O’Neill was an honorable mention for NAHL Central Division Star of the Week after a five-point weekend with a goal and four assists.
