(DALLAS- TX) – The North American Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending February 28, 2021. The Divisional Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2020-21 regular season that honors the top performing players in each of the four NAHL divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the Divisional Players of the Week award.
Central Division Star of the Week: Brendan Kim, Defenseman, St. Cloud Norsemen
St. Cloud Norsemen defenseman Brendan Kim, 21, was a contributor and productive in all three games last week. The 5’10/170 lbs. native of Burnaby, BC, had five assists and was a +1 in the three games. On Wednesday, he had an assist in a shootout loss in Austin. On Friday, he picked up two assists in a 4-3 overtime win over Bismarck, and then on Saturday, he assisted on both Norsemen goals in a 4-2 loss to Bismarck. For the season, Kim is currently 2nd in team scoring with 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists) in just 16 games played. “Brendan has been a great addition to our team. He does a nice job of adding offense from our back end and he is a legitimate NCAA Division I prospect,” said Norsemen head coach Corey Millen.
