DRAEGER COMMITS TO UW-RIVER FALLS

The St. Cloud Blizzard are proud to announce that defenseman, Brock Draeger has committed to play his college hockey at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.

The Assistant Captain played 148 games in his three seasons with the Blizzard, collecting eight goals, 25 assists, and 33 points in his junior hockey career. Draeger also competed in the 2020 Top Prospects tournament on February 17th & 18th held in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

 

The Lakeville, MN native spoke on his junior hockey career.

“Playing three years for the blizzard I have grown a tremendous amount as a man and a hockey player.” Draeger said “I cannot thank everyone enough that played a role in my junior career.”

Spending three seasons with the Blizzard, Draeger became a key role to this seasons leadership core. Head Coach and General Manager, Moe Mantha described Draeger’s career with the Blizzard.

“UW is getting a good player that can play a 200 ft game, one thing about Brock you will never question his work ethic and his commitment to the game of hockey”

 

Draeger spoke on why he chose the University of Wisconsin- River Falls.

“From the moment I stepped on campus I could feel a great connection between the coaches and myself.”

The defenseman will join the falcons fo the 2020-21 season. UW River Falls plays in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and plays their home games at the W. H Hunt Arena.
