Aberdeen, SD – The first career shutout for Paxton Geisel accompanied a two-goal night by Brett Chorske as the St. Cloud Norsemen handed the Aberdeen Wings their first loss of the season in a 4-0 victory on Saturday Night.
The Norsemen stunned the Aberdeen crowd 1:22 into the contest as Brett Chorske scored his first of the season for the 1-0 lead. Minutes later, Jack Reimann added a powerplay tally to increase the lead to 2-0. Just beyond the midway point of the period, Chorske intercepted a loose puck and slid the puck into the goal for the 3-0 advantage.
In the third period, Jack Suchy netted his third of the season to elevate the score line to 4-0.
Paxton Geisel stopped 39 shots in the victory and recorded his first career North American Hockey League shutout. With the win, the Norsemen are 3-7-0.
