St. Cloud Norsemen assistant coach Clark Kuster was added to the St. Cloud State University men’s hockey coaching staff as Director of Operations and Video Coordinator.
In one season with the Norsemen, the SCSU alum worked primarily with the defense along with his other coaching duties. The Norsemen had one of the North American Hockey League’s top defenses.
In the 2021-22 regular season, the Norsemen allowed an average of 25.2 shots per game (second fewest in the NAHL), the league’s best goal differential, held opponents to 2.55 goals against, and sported the third best penalty kill in the NAHL.
From St. Cloud State Huskies Head Coach Brett Larson:
“Clark played a vital role in the St. Cloud Norsemen’s run to the NAHL semifinals this past season, and we look forward to having an up-and-coming coach of his caliber contribute to our program on a daily basis.”
The Norsemen wish Clark Kuster the best in his role with St. Cloud State University.
