St. Cloud, Minn. — The St. Cloud Norsemen have signed forward Dakota Lenz to a North American Hockey League tender.
Lenz (2003, 5’10, 181 lbs.) is a right-shot forward from Urbandale, Iowa and has played in both the Iowa Wild and Des Moines Buccaneers AAA organizations, with the Wild from 2016-2019 and with the Bucs from 13U through the current season.
In the past two seasons on the Des Moines Buccaneers 18U squad, Lenz has played in 122 games in both 18U AAA and the NAPHL 18U leagues. Lenz had 46 points on 13 goals and 33 assists in the 2020-21 season. This season, Lenz currently has 14 points in 16 NAPHL games and 26 points in 30 games overall.
The St. Cloud Norsemen have also tendered forwards Max Strand and Hogan Sinjem, as well as defenseman Leo Gruba this season.
The St. Cloud Norsemen are off to an 11-9-0 start in the 2021-22 season, presented by Premier Real Estate. St. Cloud currently sports six NCAA Division I committed players on its active roster. The Norsemen travel to face the Minnesota Wilderness on Friday, December 10 in Cloquet, before returning home to host the Wilderness on Saturday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at tickets.stcloudnorsemen.com
