NORSEMEN EARN WEEKEND SPLIT WITH ABERDEEN WINGS
The Saint Cloud Norsemen defeated the Aberdeen Wings on Saturday September 30th as they played game two of the series.
In the opening stanza of play the Norsemen would take a two goal lead when Gavin Gunderson (Roseau, Minn.) lit the lamp for the first goal of the contest. Niklas Miller (Howell, Mich.) would end the scoring with nine minutes left in the first.
With no offense in the middle period, Lucca Munoz (Chicago, Ill.) would register two goals in the third period. Munoz finished the contest with three points after recording the first assist on Gunderson’s opening goal of the game.
Ryan Manzella (Eagan, Minn.) secured the shutout in net for STC. Adam Dybal turned aside 35 of 39 shots from St. Cloud skaters.
STC will take on the Austin Bruins for game one of a two game series that will begin on October 6th at 7 p.m.
