NORSEMEN COMEBACK FALLS SHORT IN WEEKEND SPLIT

Feb 27, 2021

St. Cloud, MN – A comeback effort by the St. Cloud Norsemen was not enough for the St. Cloud Norsemen to overcome as the team fell to the Bismarck Bobcats 4-2 on Saturday.

St. Cloud took the lead, early in the first, as Logan Kittleson scored his fifth of the season. Shortly after, the Bobcats leveled the game at 1-1 with a powerplay goal from Tim Piechowski. Two additional Bismarck goals from Grant Ahcan and Jon Ziskie put the Norsemen in a 3-1 hole.

In the second, St. Cloud would pull to within one goal Ryan O’Neill scored just 59 seconds into the middle frame of regulation.

Late in the game, Ryan Taylor added an empty-net goal to secure a 4-2 win for Bismarck.

With the loss, the Norsemen fall to 9-17-1 and will take on the Minnesota Wilderness on Wednesday, March 3rd at 7:05PM in Cloquet, MN. Mark Shelley will provide the Play-By-Play on the Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating Norsemen Network beginning at 7:00PM on HockeyTV.
