NORSEMEN FALL TO THE ABERDEEN WINGS ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 29TH AS THEY OPEN THE SEASON AT HOME

The Wings jumped out early in the first period as they took a two-goal lead. Michael Coleman (Grand Forks, ND.)  turned the contest into a one goal game when he found the back of the net with three minutes left in the stanza.

STC took a one goal lead in the second period when they received goals from Lucca Munoz (Chicago, Ill.) and Louis Wehmann (Wayzata, Minn.).

In the third period, Aberdeen would tie it up late as Logan Gravnik knotted the game up. In the extra session the Wings came out on top when Nikolai Tishkevich gave his team the win during the first two minutes of the overtime period.

Max Weilandt (Northbrook, Ill.)  turned aside 11 of 15 Aberdeen shots. Wings Goaltender Adam Dybai backstopped the wings to the win and stopped 25 of 28 total shots from Norsemen skaters.

STC will take on Aberdeen for game two of the series on Saturday, September 30th at 7:00.
