Norsemen Fall to Wings, Road Games Versus Bismarck Bobcats Next

The Norsemen had a hot start Saturday night as they looked to earn the split with the Aberdeen Wings. A mere 53 seconds into the first period Kade Peterson found the back of the net for the 5th time this season with assist from Ryan Cutler and Wyatt Wurst. The Norsemen and Wings traded power play goals with the PP tally coming from Jeremiah Konkel of the Norsemen with Evan Pahos and Ryan Cutler with the assist. Landon Parker of the Wings got a late goal to make it 2-2 at the end of the first.

It was the Wings with a quick start this time with a goal at the 1:51 mark of the second. The Norsemen were able to tie the game back up late into the second with a tally from Hunter Hanson, his first of the season at the 17:24 mark. Jordan Zelenak and Alex Korpela had the assist.

The game remained tied late through the third period until Brodick Williams of the Wings got one past Will Ingemann to take the 4-3 lead. With the extra attacker for the Norsemen, the Wings capitalized and finished off the scoring with two empty net goals for the 6-3 victory.

Shots on goal were 22-38 in favor of the Norsemen with Hunter Hanson as 1st star of the game, Ryan Cutler 2nd Star and Kade Peterson being 3rd star of the game.

Norsemen are on the road this coming weekend, October 7/8th to take on the Bismarck Bobcats. Games can be viewed via HockeyTV.
