Bismarck, ND – The St. Cloud Norsemen, despite outshooting their opponent, fell 4-1 to the Bismarck Bobcats on Saturday evening.
In the early moments of the game, Ben Troumbly scored on a two-on-one to give the Bobcats the 1-0 lead before the Norsemen would go on to outshoot Bismarck 11-7 in the period.
Mid-way through the second, the Norsemen were rewarded with a tying goal as Nik Hong deflected the puck into the back of the net. Minutes later, Tim Piechowski gave the Bobcats the 2-1 lead before Lars Rødne added a third Bismarck goal.
Late in the third, Grant Ahcan would give the Bobcats the 4-1 advantage that would hold as the final score.
With the loss, the Norsemen drop to 3-11-0 and will take on the Minnesota Magicians on Wednesday, January 27 at 7:15PM at the Richfield Ice Arena. Mark Shelley will provide the Play-By-Play on the Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating Norsemen Network beginning at 7:10PM on HockeyTV.
