St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Norsemen announced, Wednesday afternoon, the signing of Duke Kiffin to a North American Hockey League tender for the 2021-2022 season.
Kiffin, a Minnetonka, MN native, signs with the Norsemen after completing his senior season with Minnetonka High School where he amassed 16 points in 19 games from the blue line.
“I am excited to sign my tender with the St. Cloud Norsemen,” said Kiffin. “They have a great coaching staff, and I look forward to what the future has in store.”
The 6’1” defenseman adds more than just another name to the Norsemen’s tender list, as the right-hander provides a potential, multi-year starter that can earn significant minutes in the coming seasons.
“We are thrilled for Duke to be joining the Norsemen Organization,” said Associate Head Coach Casey Mignone. “Duke comes from a tremendous program at Minnetonka High School, and we look forward to continuing his development. As a player, Duke is a well-rounded defenseman, who skates extremely well. He has been a three-sport athlete his entire life, excelling at football and baseball as well as hockey. We are excited to watch his growth now that his focus has shifted entirely to hockey.”
