HANSON MAKES NCAA COMMITMENT TO AUGSBURG

Jul 13, 2022

St. Cloud Norsemen forward Peyton Hanson announces his commitment to play for NCAA Division III Augsburg College.

Hanson, a native of Hudson, Wisconsin, played in all 71 games for the Norsemen in the 2021-22 season, scoring 40 points on 11 goals and 29 assists. Hanson was a staple on the St. Cloud penalty kill, and added a pair of shorthanded goals. Hanson was fourth on the team in Robertson Cup Playoff scoring with 8 points on 2 goals and 6 assists.

Hanson played in 110 career games for the Norsemen and represented St. Cloud at the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in February.

The Norsemen had 16 NCAA committed players on the squad during the 2021-22 season, and Hanson makes the 14th NCAA commitment on St. Cloud’s season-ending roster.

The St. Cloud Norsemen are the 2021-22 Central Division Champions and were tied for the league lead in wins with 41 in the regular season. The Norsemen made the franchise’s second appearance in the NAHL Robertson Cup.
