SUCHY SHINES AS NORSEMEN TOP WILDERNESS 4-2

Apr 22, 2021

Cloquet, MN – Jack Suchy’s two-goal night helped propel the St. Cloud Norsemen to a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Wilderness on Friday night.

Jack Suchy opened the scoring for the Norsemen with his ninth goal of the season in the early moments of the first. Two quick goals from the Wilderness’ Donte Lawson and Grant Doctor put the Norsemen down 2-1. Late in the frame, Suchy, again, found the back of the net for his 10th of the season.

After a center-ice interception, St. Cloud entered the offensive zone with a two-on-one and converted when Blake Mesenburg passed to Blake Perbix who lifted his third of the season into the back of the net.

An empty-net goal from Nik Hong would secure the 4-2 victory for St. Cloud, their fourth of the season over the Wilderness.

Paxton Geisel would make 31 saves on 33 Wilderness shots as he earned the victory for the Norsemen.

With the win, the Norsemen improve to 18-27-1 and will take on the Minnesota Wilderness on Friday, April 23 at 7:30PM in St. Cloud, MN. Mark Shelley will provide the Play-By-Play on the Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating Norsemen Network beginning at 7:20PM on HockeyTV.
