ST. CLOUD TENDERS EDINA’S WYATT WURST

St. Cloud, Minn. — The Norsemen have signed defenseman Wyatt Wurst to a North American Hockey League tender.

Wurst (2003, 6’3, 200 lbs.) is a captain and three-year player at Edina High School and has two goals and 11 assists in 15 games this season. Wurst also posted five points in 16 games in Minnesota HS Elite Hockey League play for Team SIT Financial Services this season, his second year with the team.

The St. Cloud Norsemen have also tendered forwards Dakota Lenz, Andrew Knapp, Hogan Sinjem and Max Strand as well as defenseman Leo Gruba this season. Gruba is ranked in the top 100 among North American skaters in the latest NHL Central Scouting 2022 draft rankings.

The St. Cloud Norsemen have a 16-13-0-1 record in the 2021-22 season, presented by Premier Real Estate. St. Cloud currently sports five NCAA Division I committed players on its active roster. The Norsemen travel to face the Minot Minotauros on January 21-22, North Iowa on January 27, and return home to host Minot on January 28-29 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Cloud Municipal Athletic Complex.
